On the evening of December 17th, 2009 me and my friends make a visit to the Cat Museum. My friend told me earlier that the view from the museum compartment is wonderful, so I asked him to bring me there because I wanted to see it for myself. So I brought along with me a digital camera (Sony T200) and a tripod just in case what he said was right. He is right...What appeared to be just an evening walk at the park turned to a photography session.

East Point

West Point
The Cat Museum is located on a hill. From the museum, we can see most part of Kuching City and its natural geography. From the southeast point, we can see the city center whereas from the west point we can see the mountains (Mount Serapi & Mount Santubong)

Southwest view
The building's structure as well as its surroundings are technically-brilliant in design. From my opinion, the architect really emphasized in aesthetic values for almost every part of the museum. The intricate fabrication of the dome, fountains and ponds are crafted very well. For a first-time visitor as me, I really amazed with the designing aspects.

Main garden
There is a garden in front of the museum compound. The garden is quite large, very peaceful and clean. There is also shade and man-made waterfall built. Overall, the Cat Museum is a very relaxing place to go, especially for people who enjoys evening walk and the sun set. There are many beautiful landscapes in the garden which visitor can appreciate and also be used for photography.
